About the Role
As a Relief Plant Operator you will be required to operate various items of Council’s plant as and when required and undertake duties associated with road construction and maintenance activities.
You will hold a current NSW Class HR Driver’s license, as a minimum have experience operating various types of heavy earthmoving plant, and knowledge and experience in basic mechanical and maintenance principles of plant. Experience working in the road maintenance and construction industry are also key requirements.
Key requirements:
- Ensure plant is operated and maintained in accordance with correct procedures at all times (particularly emphasising 'daily checks' and general cleanliness of machinery).
- To provide labour for gang on job site when not operating plant as and when required.
- To ensure a high level of communication and cooperativeness is maintained both inside and outside of the work teams.
