About the Role
As Senior Technical Officer you will be responsible for day to day survey works including setting out of jobs for Council’s Engineering Department.
You will hold a current NSW Class C Driver’s licence, as a minimum, and have knowledge and experience with regard to site survey and setout associated with road construction and maintenance.
Key requirements:
- Diploma in related field.
- Survey and CAD experience
- Experience using survey equipment (Total Station, Global Positioning Survey and Dumpy Levels ) for complex engineering projects
- Creativity in identifying and solving new and diverse problems
- Research and information is obtained correctly and accurately within agreed time frame
- Survey and setout of roads and carparks, drainage, water and sewer systems, parks and playing fields, and earthworks projects
- Demonstrate comprehensive conceptual, analytical, verbal communication and written skills of a high standard
- Have well developed interpersonal skills including the ability to negotiate major issues and liaise effectively with staff at all levels.
