Salary:  From $105,000 per annum (including super) + leaseback vehicle

Position Status: Permanent Full Time

Hours of work: 35 hour week with RDO every third week

About the Role

This could be your opportunity to make 2018 the year to grow your IT management experience with a progressive multi-faceted Council in the picturesque Bathurst Region.

To be successful in this role you will be comfortable communicating with people to understand current and future IT needs and have a can-do approach to develop and implement strategic plans.  Your leadership skills will enable the IT team to deliver quality help desk support, co-ordination of IT infrastructure at remote sites, spatial data, and overall integrity, security and performance of Council's information systems.

Key requirements:  
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline and extensive experience in managing a small team delivering IT and spatial services
  • Proven ability to manage change and recommend practical solutions to diverse organisational problems

  • Ability to develop plans, strategies and budgets in line with overall corporate goals and directions

  • Ensure Council's IT services and infrastructure are designed, managed and maintained to allow for efficiency, integration, and growth across the organisation.
