Salary:  $61,345 to $64,450 per annum + super

Position Status: Permanent Full Time

Hours of work: 35 hour week with RDO every third week

About the Role

An exciting opportunity is now available for an enthusiastic self-starter to join our Human Resources team. This role will give an immense amount of variety to your working week and is the first point of contact for our internal and external stakeholders so exceptional customer service skills are a must! If you are looking to build on your HR experience or have recently completed or nearing completion of your studies, and are passionate about HR and WHS, we want to hear from you.


You will take on HR generalist activities in learning and development, recruitment and selection, administration support for the HR team, WHS and wellbeing programs, all whilst using your initiative and well developed problem solving skills to get things done. Working as a member of a small team, and reporting directly to the Manager Human Resources, you will have a pivotal role in ensuring that human resources processes and projects are delivered and evaluated. Leading by example, you will demonstrate the importance of being approachable, organised, accountable and using initiative to improve current processes and procedures.

Key requirements:  

  • Proven ability to build rapport and professional networks.
  • Co-ordinate the e-recruitment and e-learning web portals.
  • High level administrative and organisational skills with ability to multi task.
  • Facilitate recruitment and selection processes, including onboarding, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies.
  • Co-ordinate the organisational training plan and schedule training as required.
  • Co-ordinate and administer Council’s performance management system including annual staff appraisal process.
  • Research and reporting on HR and WHS metrics as required.
  • Capacity to provide relief/backfill for the positions of HR Advisor and WHS Risk Officer.
