Salary: $79,387 - $83,405 per annum + super + leaseback vehicle
Position Status: Permanent full time
Hours of work: 35 hour week with a RDO every third week

About the Role
Do you love events and want to lead the team responsible for the biggest events in Bathurst? Council is looking for an experienced Events Manager to deliver the high quality events the Bathurst Region is renowned for.
With major events that include the Winter Festival, an NRL round game, Bathurst Cycling Classic and four car races in addition to supporting corporate functions delivered by the organisation, the events team is a small but busy team.
This role will see you working closely with senior managers, business and community leaders, and Councillors in developing and delivering Council’s annual and ad hoc events.
A positive attitude and an ability to problem solve under pressure to achieve great outcomes is essential. Ability to work additional hours during events is essential and this will include weekends, evenings and public holidays.
- Develop, co-ordinate and manage events for Bathurst Regional Council, within agreed timeframes and budgets.
- Identify opportunities for new events for the Bathurst Regional Council and community.
- Review Council’s existing signature events for opportunities to improve.
- Manage and mentor Council’s Event’s Team in the delivery of Council’s events.
- Regularly review and provide recommendations on Council’s Event’s strategic direction.
- Actively engage with identified third parties, including contractors, in the delivery of Events.
