Position Status: Permanent full time

Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 4.39pm with RDO every three weeks

About the Role

This position will mainly be responsible for the monitoring and regulating of parking compliance on public streets in accordance with the Australian Road Rules 2014 and associated Regulations. The position is responsible for meeting Council's contractual obligations in monitoring of privately owned car parks.

The role may also provide assistance, as requested by the Manager Environment, in ensuring certain controls are implemented under the Companion Animals Act, Local Government Act, Impounding Act, Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and Protection of the Environment Operations Act.

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated competence in dealing with difficult customers and an ability to work with minimal supervision. Candidates must possess a Class C drivers licence.

 

Key requirements:  
  • Skills and knowledge in dealing with members of the public in difficult situations
  • A current class C motor vehicle licence
  • Previous experience in a regulatory or compliance role
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in issuing Penalty Infringement Notices
