Salary:  $1306.80 - $1372.96 per week + super

Position Status: Permanent full time

Hours of work: 35 hour week (with a RDO every third week)

About the Role

Bathurst Regional Council is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Team Leader Regulatory Services to join our Environment Team. As the Team Leader Regulatory Services you will ensure that Bathurst Regional Council implements an education and enforcement program which incorporates the companion animals management, parking regulation and impounding functions of Council . You will be responsible for promoting, maintaining and enforcing standards within the Local Government Area.

The position requires that you display staff management skills including coaching, training, performance management and disciplinary action. The ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks/projects is essential.

Access to a leaseback vehicle in accordance with Council's policy will be available to the successful candidate.

Key requirements:  
  • Lead investigations into alleged breaches of legislation and prepare evidence and affidavits for legal forums
  • Supervise the operations of Council's Small and Large Impounding facilities
  • Ensure that customer service standards are met for regulatory functions
  • Provide operational support to regulatory services staff.
