Salary:  $1,375.04 to $1,517.82 per week + super

Position Status: Permanent full time

Hours of work: 35 hour week with RDO every third week

About the Role

The position principally involves floodplain modelling, and the provision of technical advice with regard to design, construction, hydrology and hydraulics. The position will also be responsible for the investigation of traffic issues.

The Forward Planning Engineer will be responsible for contribution to and the implementation of a number of concurrent projects within the Engineering Services Section, in a friendly team working environment.

The successful candidate will possess a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, and have relevant demonstrated industry experience.

 

Key requirements:  
  • Engineering survey, set out, design, drafting and construction estimation of complex engineering projects
  • Provision of technical advice regarding traffic management
  • Investigation and provision of advice relating to floodplain management, including completion of Flood Impact Assessments and Flood Level Certificates
  • Arrangement of service relocations with the relevant utility service providers as necessary
  • Compilation and retention of records relating to engineering investigations
  • Provide advice and answer engineering related customer queries
  • Draft letters and reports as necessary following engineering investigations
  • Carry out other duties when and as required.
