About the Role
Bathurst Regional Council Children’s Services provide high quality Education and Care Services for children that includes Long Day Care, Family Day Care and Vacation Care and is part of Council’s Cultural and Community Services Department.
Bathurst Regional Council is looking for a suitably qualified, dynamic and flexible individual with an eye for accuracy.
The Administration/Processing Assistant will provide prompt and effective administration of child care fees, child/family enrolments, reception duties and general office tasks.
The position is permanent part-time (20 hours per week), based at Scallywags Long Day Care Centre.
Key requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years Office Administration experience, preferably in a child care service
- Proficiency in the operation of various computer software packages
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work in a team promoting cooperation and good relationships within Children’s Services
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to comply with the requirements of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulation 2013 through the provision of a Working with Children Check clearance.
